Why 1 Unit (6.25 Hectares / 25 Bighas)?
In the Indira Gandhi Nahar Project (IGNP) Command Area of Mohangarh, Jaisalmer, a standard agricultural square is known as a Moraba (measuring exactly 6.25 Hectares or 25 Bighas).
Based on 35 years of field experiments, GoVedic Agro engineered the complete developmental and economic stages of this 1-unit model to demonstrate how barren, hyper-arid desert tracts can be permanently transformed into highly profitable, drought-resilient Sanatan agro-ecological sanctuaries.
5-Year Phased Development Stages
Year 1: Perimeter, Water Security & Pasture Foundation (~₹45 Lakhs)
Perimeter fencing with biological thorny shrubs, solar pump installation and deep borewell, construction of a central water reservoir (Diggi), primary cattle shelter, establishing 4 hectares of drought-hardy Sewan (*Lasiurus scindicus*) and Dhaman (*Cenchrus ciliaris*) pastures, and introduction of 10 indigenous Tharparkar cows and 2 seed bulls.
Year 2: Agro-Forestry & Bio-Fertilizer Fermentation (~₹38 Lakhs)
Plantation of 1,800 perennial trees and shrubs: 66 fodder tree species (Khejri, Rohida, Ardu, Neem), 45 leguminous plants, fruit trees (Ber, Gonda, Pomegranate), and construction of permanent masonry tanks for Kunapajala, Agnihastra, and vermicompost fermentation.
Year 3: Processing Infrastructure & Herd Expansion (~₹32 Lakhs)
Setting up a decentralized wooden churner Vedic Bilona Ghee processing station, installation of bullock-powered wooden oil expellers (Ghani), and natural herd expansion to 25 indigenous cattle. First batch of commercial seed spice intercropping.
Year 4: Commercial Crop Harvesting & Carbon Audit (~₹35 Lakhs)
Commercial harvest of organic desert spices (Cumin, Mustard, Fenugreek, Coriander). Baseline soil organic carbon (SOC) audit verified by independent environmental registries for certified Carbon Offset Credits.
Year 5 Onward: Complete Circular Bio-Economy Maturity (Self-Sustaining)
Generates ₹35–45 Lakhs net annual operating surplus from premium Thar Bilona Ghee, organic seed crops, cold-pressed wood-churned oils, pedigree seed bulls, and tradable carbon credits with zero ongoing external capital requirement.
